In addition to teaching, I often run reading courses and seminar groups. Topics for reading courses from students have included topics spanning commutative algebra, algebraic geometry, and number theory. Choice of topic depends on the student's level of preparation and can either be a treatment of a classic topic or readings on current literature.
Past learning seminars have included: Local cohomology, complex analytic geometry, simplicial algebraic geometry, deformation theory, and étale cohomology. If there is a topic you'd like to study either as a reading course, or if you are interested in helping to organize a learning seminar please contact me.
